Martin Piffl (TU, advisor E. Stadlober): Efficient Treatment of High Dimensional Computer Experiments

Abstract: This presentation is concerned with efficiently designing experiments for regression models of computer simulation software in cases where simulation effort is restricted and where the inputs are of large number and are independent continuous random variables. Three-level screening designs, space filling designs and multi dimensional data adaptation are reviewed and are critically discussed. Based on the theory of data depth, a new design idea will be introduced to give a remedy for situations where less than 500 experiments are applicable.[hide abstract]
